What we do

At The Angels Foundation, we are committed to building a welcoming, supportive, and empowering environment for refugees and immigrants as they transition into life in Canada.

Our programs focus on helping newcomers overcome settlement challenges and feel a strong sense of belonging in their new communities.

Language & Communication Training

Many immigrants experience isolation due to language barriers. To bridge this gap, we offer free language and composition training sessions every second Sunday of the month to help build confidence in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Newcomers Welcome Meetings

On the last Saturday of every month, we host cultural gatherings for new immigrants. These events create safe spaces to socialize, share experiences, cook together, and enjoy traditional meals from their home countries.

Food Bank & Traditional Food Support

We operate a food storage program where we accept raw African food items such as:

  • Grains (e.g., rice)
  • Yam flour for fufu
  • Garri
  • Vegetable and palm oil, etc.
If you can’t donate items directly, cash donations are welcome. We’ll purchase or import the needed ingredients on your behalf.

You can support us by buying from any African food store in your area and shipping to The Angels Foundation’s postal address.

Seasonal Clothing Drives

We accept clean, wearable clothes for newcomers from March through October. These clothing drives help equip immigrants for Canada’s harsh weather and seasonal changes.

⚠️ Due to limited space, we cannot accept clothing donations outside this timeframe.
📦 We are currently appealing for a permanent storage facility to house clothing donations year-round.
