Our Impact

The Angels Foundation: Where Newcomers Find Home
At The Angels Foundation, we believe every immigrant deserves a soft landing and a strong start. Every day, we uplift and guide newcomers on their journey to settlement, offering hands-on support from accessing free community healthcare and housing services to navigating following them to their important appointments. But our impact doesn’t stop there.

Twice a month, 2nd Sunday and Last Saturday of every month, the newcomers come together during our cultural gatherings joyful celebrations of food, music, and traditions from around the world. These events aren’t just about connection they’re about belonging. Here, stories are shared, friendships bloom, and roots begin to grow.
Together, we build bridges between backgrounds, spark hope, and foster a future where everyone feels at home.

Testimonies from our beneficiaries

Isaac Udoka Nkwegu
My name is Isaac Udoka Nkwegu, and I'm originally from Ebonyi State, Nigeria. I arrived in Canada March 2024. I am a refugee claimant. Adjusting to life in Canada was tough, especially with the harsh weather and unfamiliar food. I spent three months at the D'Ottawa Mission Shelter home, where I struggled to adapt to Western cuisine. However, my life took a dramatic turn when I met my foster mother, Mrs. Angela Omoike, the President of Angels Foundation. She was instrumental in helping me settle in Canada, just as a prophecy had foretold - that a black African woman would aid me.

Achare Valerie
My name is Achare Valerie. I'm from Cameroon. I would love to express my appreciation to the Angels Foundation in Canada. Last year, I had the privilege to get a Canadian visa and relocated to Canada. While in Canada, my first three months seemed like I made a wrong decision. But while this was going through my mind, I was invited by a friend to attend one of The Angels Foundation's praise and worship sessions.

First The Angels Foundation gave us winter clothes and food, they help us with food items. When we rented our own apartment, mum came and visited us with food items, and she also initiated a business idea to me, and that really helps me a lot. We are grateful for knowing The Angels Foundations because they make my journey a smooth journey. We are grateful to God, and God bless Mrs. Angela Omoike.
